Looking for ways to get involved with the Huntington community? The Chamber offers its members many opportunities to network with other businesses and citizens in the area.
Voluntary committees offer members opportunities to contribute directly to the work of the Chamber and to interact with fellow Chamber members who share common interests.
Marketing Committee – works to provide promotional and networking opportunities that are of direct benefit to the continuing development and success of the Chamber and its members. This committee plans seminars, A B.I.G. Day Golf Outing, legislative overviews, and more. Its members assist with Chamber After Hours, Networking Breakfasts, Administrative Assistants’ Day, the annual Chamber Dinner, and awards’ programs.
Chamber Ambassadors – Ambassadors serve as a public relations support system for the Chamber. They are visible at Chamber events, ribbon cuttings for new businesses, Chamber After Hours, and at community events. They assist the Chamber’s efforts to obtain, maintain, and retain members through personal interaction and involvement. If you would like more information about becoming a Chamber Ambassador, please call the office at (260) 356-5300. We are always looking for individuals that are wanting to “network” themselves into the community.
Social interaction in the community – Heritage Days, Business EXPO, Chamber After Hours, Breakfast Showcases, Networking Group, HR/Professional Development Group, Leaders’ EDGE, and more provide places for businesses and citizens to connect. The Chamber oversees all the activities of Heritage Days through its steering committee to ensure each year’s festivities are successful. Contact the Chamber for information on becoming a part of the committees for these activities.
Continually working to improve the quality of life – for the citizens of Huntington County. The Chamber keeps connected to community action groups and supports efforts to develop projects that help to improve the county. Volunteers are always needed that have a desire to keep Huntington a safe, productive, and beautiful place to live.
Networking Group (Healthcare) – The Chamber has helped create two different networking groups in Huntington County over the past couple of years. The first group meets on the third Monday of each month at Moe’s Restaurant, 2990 W. Park Drive beginning at 12 noon. This group consist of mostly healthcare/assisted living/elder care type businesses. There are no fees to join the group. Lunch is optional for each attendee.
